Happy White Day to everyone! During our recent visit to Japan, White Day (ホワイトデー) gift stands were absolutely everywhere and it seems to be a pretty big thing. While traditionally on 14th of February its the girls and women who give chocolate or gifts as an expression on love, boys and men have to return a gift.
Wiki says "first celebrated in 1978, started by National Confectionery Industry Association as an answer day to Valentine's Day on the grounds that men should pay back the women who gave them chocolate and other gifts. In 1977 a Fukuoka-based confectionery company Ishimuramanseido had also unsuccessfully marketed marshmallows to men on 14th of March, calling it Marshmallow Day"...
